  • GB Remapped

    GB has been remapped by ACC. Customer who still cannot get their dish to move to GB will probably need to remap their 4DTV. Have them move to G1-03, or G1-13, or G1-150, make sure they have a green DC light, turn off the 4DTV, unplug it for 30 secs., plug back in, leave it turned off for 30 minutes, then turn it back on and GB should be remapped.

    From July 1 most of the price will change because of higher uplink fee charged by the provider. If your programming will expire soon and want to renew your programming at current price, please do it as soon as possible.

  • Blue Highways/Golf

    Blue Highways has been added to part numbers 890 (Digital Super Package) and 590 (Digital Basic Package). The channel can be found on Satellite C4 Channel 606.

    The Golf channel is now available to SPS C-band subscribers. The channel is now available in 2 ways:

    #890 - Digital Super Package (no price increase for the package)
    #925 - Digital Sports Pak (no price increase for the package)
    The channel can be found on Satellite X4/W5 Channel 410

  • AMC-18(W5) update

    The services are now simulcast on W5 and X4 satellite will continue in this mode until June 1, 2008, after which X4 signals will go dark. If you have not setup W5 satellite yet, please be hurry.

  • AMC-18(W5) is now in service

    New Channels Available to Those Without Ku-Band

    Channels previously unavailable to customers without ku-band satellite are now available! Popular channels formerly found on X4 satellite such as Fox Movie Channel, Turner Classic Movies, Outdoor Channel, History Channel East and The Speed Channel, just to name a few, are now simulcast on W5 satellite. You can also get free feeds of DMX music on W5 that were previoulsy available only on ku-band. Customers can subscribe to the Super Digital Package(#890) to receive these channels.

    Please note: Those who are already subscribed to the Super Digital Package will probably need to program the W5 satellite into their 4DTV receiver. For complete instructions on how to add the W5 satellite to your receiver, please check our FAQ page.

  • Comedy Central Update

    Comedy Central has uplinked to G3-624. We have taken it off from the a la carte list and if it is already on the account, then it is off as well. The only way to receive Comedy Central is in a package. If you have Comedy Central in a la carte(#415) please contact us to cancel. Credit will be given back for the unused time.

    We added Comedy Central in packages 890, 590 and 927 without additional charge.

  • Comcast moves HITS channels

    Great news! Customer wanting to subscribe to Turner Classic Movies, Sleuth, Chiller or the Speed channel will not have to upgrade to ku-band to receive these channels. In the coming months, Comcast will be moving HITS channels on the X4 satellite to a new C-band satellite called AMC-18 at 105 degrees west. The channels will temporarily be dual illuminated until Comcast ends the feeds on X4 on June 1, 2008.

    There is a temporary technical problem on this channel. The ACC is not getting any picture at all on this channel at this time. We are reporting it to the uplinker and hopefully, it will be fixed soon. Please be patient.

  • Comedy Central Update

    Comedy Central will uplink to G3-624 very soon. Customers may need to do a soft reset, rehit, on G1-03, G1-13, G1-150, etc. to get it mapped into your 4DTV.

  • Comedy Channel C3-21

    Comedy Channel C3-21 is off the air, showing only color bars. At this time, we do not know if it will come back on or if the analog feed is off permanently.

  • As of 12/13/07, HBO West is no longer available in analog. HBO East is scheduled to go digital on 1/13/08. HBO East and West can currently both be found in digital on G1 100 and 102.

    They can only be purchased in the Digital Super Package(890) and the Digital Basic Package(590). If you have one of these packages, then you have the new channels.

  • Our provider has fixed their activation server on Nov 20 2007, all activation and rehit services are back to normal now. If you still have difficulties to get your programming, please contact us.

  • Starting from Nov 17 2007 our provider's authorization server has technical problems, we can not do order activations and rehit. We are keeping on contacting our provider to get the latest updates. As soon as their server back to work, we will start activate your programming and send re-hit. Really sorry for the service delay.

  • HBO West is scheduled to leave analog on 12-13-2007, this channel is already on G1 in 4DTV format.
  • HBO East is scheduled to leave analog on 01-13-2008, this channel is already on G1 in 4DTV format.
  • Our providers are working on re-uplinking WGN on G3 satellite, should be available very soon.

  • Comedy on satellite C3 channel 21 has gone off of analog. Our supplier is working on negotiations with the Comedy channel to return the signal to either analog or digital. Please be patient as they progress through the negotiations. SPS will update the Channel News with information when it becomes available.

  • The following channels have now moved over to the G3 satellite from G9. They are currently dual illuminated and will discontinue on G9 on or around May 26, 2007. Please note the following new channels:

  • Sci-Fi is now ACTIVE! You will find the channel on satellite X4 channel 642. If the programming is telling you that you need a subscription to view the programming then you will need to have the channel re-hit. If this is the case please put the unit on satellite X4 either channel 194 or 255 and request a re-hit through e-mail. SPS thanks you for your patience while Sci-fi has made this switch.

  • This just in!!! USA and Sci-Fi have found a new home on the Digital side of C-Band and Ku-Band. USA can now be found on satellite GB channel 590. Sci-Fi can now be found on satellite X4 channel 642. Sci-Fi at the present momment is having some issues with uplinking and it not currently avalable, however, should be active in the next few days.

  • USA and Sci-Fi have officially moved off of C-Band analog today. SPS is being informed that both of these channels will be available in the near future on the Digital side of C-Band, however, at this time no satellite or channel has been officially confirmed. As soon as information becomes available on location and/or availablitily it will be posted right here in the Channel News section. Stay Tuned!

  • The following channels will be leaving analog on June 1, 2007 (all channels are already in digital format):

    Showtime West (G0 15)
    The Movie Channel (TMC) East (F3 17)
    The Movie Channel (TMC) West (G0 18)
    Flix (F4 22)

  • Discovery East (F4 21) will be removing it's analog signal as of June 23, 2007. This channel will be available on 4DTV when it moves. The transitions should be smooth as Discovery already has active digital signals, however, if any problems or interruptions occur please be patient.

  • Cartoon Channel is set to remove it's analog signal as of June 29, 2007. No plans have been announced for a digital signal, however, stay tuned to the Channel News for further updates as they become avaialable.

  • Cinemax East (G1 19) will be removing it's analog signal on August 31, 2007. This channel is currently available on 4DTV.

  • The following channels are still waiting for status updates which will be available right here on the Channel News once received:

    Disney

  • W3-501 WSEE CBS

  • SPS has confirmed that the signal for both Nickelodeon and Spike TV are officially off C-Band analog. Viacomm has discontinued the service and our suppliers are working with the company to find if there is a way to provide this service either through C-Band or Ku-Band digital. Stay tuned to the Channel News for further updates on these two channels.

  • We have received word that the Disney Channel and ABC Family Channel will not be coming back to the big dish. Disney, who owns broadcasting right to Disney Channel, Family Channel, ESPN, and ESPN-2 has decided that they are no longer going to give C-Band customers access to their programming.

  • Discovery Channel is officially discontinuing their analog feed found on satellite C4 channel 21. Please be advised that this will not effect the Discovery West, Animal Planet, Travel and The Learning Channel channels found on the C4 satellite.

  • Viacomm has now removed the signal for Spike TV on G0 19 and Nickelodeon on C4 3. SPS is working on finding out what is being done with these signals and will update you right here on the Channels News when we have more information.

  • The MTV and Nickelodeon Digital Suites have now completed their re-uplinking process and again available in your package. The service can be found on the following channels:

  • ESPN & ESPN-2 have officially left C-Band and are no longer available either digital or analog. We are encouraging customers to write to ESPN and voice their dissatisfaction over not being able to recieve the service that is available to other people via small dish and cable. Make you voice be heard and write ESPN or your Congressman and let them know that this is unfair!

  • The MTV, VH-1 and Noggin channels located on C3 are currently not available at this time. The services will be re-uplinked on another satellite shortly.

  • CNN, Headline News, WTBS, TNT, Cartoon, USA/Sci-Fi, Weather, and Fox News will remain on C-Band analog for a while longer.

  • WE and IFC are now active on the X4 satellite Channels 256 and 252 respectively. If you are not receiving your subscription then please contact us by email.

  • Nickelodeon, Comedy, WGN and Spike TV will be going Digital at some point in the future. No timeline has been set to date for their change over.

  • Golf Channel will hopefully be uplinked on X4 in the very near future. SPS will make an announcement right here in the Channel News when we have access.

  • E!TV will be going digital on February 28, 2007.

  • Disney and Family Channel are waiting to have their services uplinked on digital. No confirmed date yet for activation of services.

  • ESPN and ESPN-2 are no longer available on C-Band.

  • Court TV has now completed and confirmed their move. Court TV can now be found on the GB satellite Channel 580. Also of note is there is now only the Eastern feed of Court TV available.

  • The Golf Channel has now moved off of C-Band analog and at this time SPS has been informed that it will not be coming back to the big dish. If this information changes at anytime we will update the channel news section right here!

  • IFC has now completed their move over to the digital side of C-Band. IFC can now be found on the Ku-Band satellite X4 and is located on channel 252.

  • Women's Entertainment (WE) has also completed it's move over to the digital side. They are also located on the X4 satellite and can be found on channel 256.

  • An important reminder that ESPN and ESPN-2 will be leaving C-Band at the end of this year. They will no longer be available on C-Band or to SPS subscribers.

  • Channels are continuing to move over to the digital side of C-Band. If you have not upgraded your system with a 4DTV Receiver now is the time! Check out the great offer on 4DTV Receivers in the Promotions Section.

  • AMC has now been relocated to G9 channel 701.

  • AMC (G1 ?1) has announced on their analog feed that they have completed technical upgrades to their service. AMC has now made the move over to the digital side of C-Band programming. SPS is aware at the present time that AMC will be located on the Galaxy 13 (G9) satellite, however, at the present time no channel has been mapped in at the ACC for this service. As more information becomes available it will be posted here.

    If you have a current subscription to AMC and a 4DTV receiver you will be able to view the programming as soon as a channel has been mapped in.   • Family Channel (G5 - 11) is also making the moved over to the digital side of C-Band. SPS is not aware of the new location for this service at this time. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.

  • Family Channel on G5 Channel 11 is currently down. SPS is working on finding out the exact nature of the disruption and hopes that the channel will be available shortly.

  • March 26th, 2006 VH1 Country is changing its name to CMT Pure Country. This digital feed can be found at C3-805.

  • Nickelodeon will be off the air from 8 am til 6 pm until Saturday, May 27. After May 27, it will be back on the air all the time on the usual C4-03.

  • Temporary tech problems experienced on NBC G9-502 today have been resolved.

  • As of July 1, 2006, analog BET East G5-20 will transition to digital and will unfortunately not be available to our digital customers.

  • The Indy 500 is scheduled to be shown on ABC across the USA except for the local ABC out of Indianapolis. Offical start time is 12:00 Noon Eastern.

  • Starting July 1, 2006, the analog feed of BET East,currently on G5-20, will transition to digital and will no longer be available in analog or digital to our C-band customers.

  • Nickelodeon will make the transition to digital for CABLE AFFILIATES ONLY on May 1, 2006. Beginning April 17th, you will see a crawl that will read:

    ATTENTION CABLE OPERATORS ONLY: As of May 1, 2006 this analog feed of Nickelodeon will be discontinued. Please contact Motorola at 866-276-4327 as soon as possible to authorize your digital equipment.

    The crawl will run for 3 minute intervals 2 times an hour and Nickelodeon may gradually increase the time and intervals if necessary. Nickelodeon does not plan to run the crawls during any national or local advertising segments or on weekends. After the transition, subscribers will continue to get the Nickelodeon East feed in analog until further notice.

  • Bravo will discontinue theirr analog feed as of today. The digital feed of Bravo will be available effective April 1, 2006 on C4-710 and X4-710.

  • The Primetime 24 Channels are now available on C-Band digital! They can be found at the following locations on the AMC-3 Satellite:

    WABC (ABC) - W3-500
    WSEE (CBS) - W3-501
    WNBC (NBC) - G9-502


    Digital customers who have a 920 receiver will not be able to get W3-500 or W3-501 due to the signal being used by Prime Time. This includes 920 receiver ID numbers start with: 0012FE, 0012F0, 0012F1, 0012F2. Also, some ID’s starting with 0012F3 may also be affected.

  • Fox News Channel, on Satellite G7 Channel 18, will be moving to a new location. Fox News will be located on Satellite G1 channel 21 beginning on April 4, 2006. Fox News will be dual illuminated till May 3rd.

  • Discovery HD Theatre is moving over to C3-617 from it's current location of C4-600. Discovery HD has said that the feed will be dual-illuminated for the time being, however, some customer might find that the C4-600 feed has already been discontinued. C3-617 is already active and the programming can now be found there.

    TV Land is now active along with WPIX, CNBC and MSNBC in the digital format. The channel locations are as follows:

    CNBC: G9 - 500
    MSNBC: G9 - 501
    WPIX: G9 - 510
    TV Land: G9 - 620


    A&E, Hallmark, Lifetime, VH-1 and CMT are moving locations. They are currently dual-illuminated on both their current and new locations. The new locations are as follows:

    A&E: G9 - 700
    Hallmark: G9 - 702
    Lifetime: G9 - 703
    VH-1: G9 - 800
    CMT: G9 - 801

  • CNBC/MSNBC

    It has been confirmation that both CNBC and MSNBC will be moving over to the digital side of C-Band. CNBC will make the move over to digital on March 31, 2006 and MSNBC will be moving over to the digital side, at the end of this month, on February 28, 2006. As more information becomes available about these service it will be posted right here on the Channel News.

    Primetime 24's

    The Primetime 24 Channels (ABC, CBS and NBC) out of New York will be making the moved over to digital shortly. They are slated to make the move at the end of March along with MSNBC.

    Bravo

    Bravo has also set March 31, 2006 as the day they will make the moved over to digital. As with all other channels, as more information becomes available it will be posted right here on the channel News.

  • WPIX and KTLA have now discontinued their analog feed. Our supplier is working on getting both of these channels back in a 4DTV format and as information becomes available it will be posted on the Channel News.
    We are happy to inform you that TV Land is set to go back on the air any day now. As soon as we have more information and a location for TV Land we will post it here on the Channel News.

  • We have been informed today that WPIX and KTLA will be changing formats on January 31, 2006. Both of these channels will no longer be available in an analog format as of January 31, 2006 and will transition into a digital format at much the same time. SPS Programming has not been given a digital satellite or channel at this point, however, when more news does become available it will become available in our channels news. If you have not had the opportunity to update your receiver to a 4DTV please follow this link to some great offers on a brand new DSR-922's.

  • SPS Programming has just been notified that the feed for Cinemax West on analog (G5 - 16) will be leaving effective January 3, 2006. Cinemax East on G1 - 19 will remain on analog for the time being. All customers with subscriptions to Cinemax and with digital receiver will continue to receive all other feeds of Cinemax on both digital and analog.

  • SPS Programming is pleased to announce that we will again be able to provide the Denver Channels! They will be available on 4DTV only, and have been mapped out on the W1 satellite. This new Denver 8 package will include: ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, WB, UPN and PBS. They will also be available individually as well!     Denver Networks

    SPS Programming is now processing terminations for any active Denver Network subscribers and offering a prorated credit for programming time remaining. If you are a Denver Network subscriber please contact SPS today and get your credit on the Denver Networks. Our suppliers are still working to provide the Denver Networks in the digital format and as more information becomes available the Channel News will be updated.

    MTV (East) & TV Land

    MTV (East) located on satellite C4 channel 17 is moving over to it's new home on the G0 satellite and channel 16. The moved will be complete by January 1, 2006. TV Land is subsequently moving over to the digital side. No location has been given for the digital feed of TV Land but as information becomes available it will be posted on the Channel News.

    CNN / Headline News / TNT / WTBS / Cartoon Network

    SPS is please to announce that the analog services for Turner Networks services, CNN, Headline News, WTBS, TNT and Cartoon Network will remain as they exist until the end of 2006.

    USA / Sci-Fi

    Contracts have been extended to the end of 2008 for USA / Sci-Fi and will continue to be provided on C-Band.

    New Free to Air Feeds

    Horse TV is now located on satellite C4 channel 605
    Eye Music is now located on satellite C4 channel 700

  • SPS Programming would like to notify our customers of coming changes for channels in the New Year. More and more channels are making the move over to the digital side of C-Band. SPS Programming is working with our suppliers to ensure that you continue to get access to all the channels and programming that you have come to enjoy through SPS. Upcoming channels that are making their move over to digital include; USA/Sci-Fi, CNN/HLN/Fox News, Starz! Movie Package, WTBS, TNT and more throughout the coming year.   • As of yesterday the programming for the Denver 5 channels has been replaced with a promo from Superstar/Netlink/Turner. SPS Programming has been caught fully unaware by this sudden change and apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.
